Due to the historic gold medal of the Dutch 3×3 basketball players, the demand for 3×3 basketball in public space is increasing. Together with 3X3 UNITES, we like to think along with Dutch municipalities about the ultimate result; meeting community demand as much as possible to facilitate a unique 3×3 experience in public spaces.
Besides our standard high-quality 3×3 courts in various colours, we have now developed a unique, partly recycled, 3×3 basketball floor. The GreenMatter modular plastic tile from which this floor is laid consists of 50% recycled raw materials from worn artificial grass pitches.
This new sports floor has now been taken into use by Sporting comapany Arnhem at sports centre Valkenhuizen. There, a worn-out artificial grass pitch made way for a 3×3 basketball court, allowing the Municipality of Arnhem to process a part of their waste in a circular way. The recycled court meets all playing properties for a challenging 3×3 game.
