Grandstands

We will be happy to assist you in the preparation of the realisation of  grandstands. Based on the available space and the desired number of seats, we will gladly advise you on the right type of stand. We supply demountable stands, telescopic grandstands, mobile tribunes but also prefabricated grandstand elements for the realization of a concrete stand or seating stand. If desired, we can also provide you with drawings (seating plan) and we can take care of the assembly for you.

Purchasing a grandstand?

There are many questions that arise when buying a grandstand. What types of grandstands are there, and what are the advantages of each type? Below you will find all the information about the various grandstands in our range.

Mobile grandstands

A very popular stand for both indoor and outdoor use is the mobile stand. A relatively small stand with a length of 300 cm. The stand consists of 3 rows of seats and provides space for approximately 18 people. However, it is possible to link several mobile stands together, so that the stand can seat more people. Mobile stands are easy to move. The transport wheels, which are optional, make this even easier. Obviously, the mobile stands can be equipped with grandstand seats. See our offer here.

Fixed grandstands

We also have grandstands that permanently accommodate spectators. Fixed grandstands are generally larger and are permanently placed on (sports) accommodation. A simple way to realise a permanent grandstand is by using prefab concrete elements. Thanks to these elements, a grandstand can be realised that is fully tailored to your wishes and location-specific factors and dimensions. However, there are several ways in which a fixed stand can be realised. We also offer modular grandstands that are excellent as permanent grandstands.

Extendable grandstands

Extendable grandstands, also known as telescopic grandstands, are specially designed for sports buildings where flexible use is required. We offer both fixed and mobile versions. The fixed telescopic grandstands have a very strong connection method, namely a push chain that is driven in an industrial manner. Can be used on any surface! The mobile telescopic stands can be operated and moved manually. A lifting system allows two people to move the stand without any effort.

Modular grandstands

Modular grandstands offer many advantages. After all, stands with a modular design are easy to assemble as desired. Thanks to the modules that make up the seats and stairs, the stand can be supplied in virtually any size. The seats consist of grandstand seats with backrests.

Outdoor grandstand

Looking for an outdoor grandstand? Our outdoor grandstands offer an outcome. We have been able to realise various grandstands in recent years. When constructing grandstands, it is essential to take account of the weather and environmental influences. That is why we are happy to support you by giving you technical advice. Indoor tribunes

Grandstands for sports halls and other sports buildings are also called indoor grandstands. Indoor grandstands are often smaller than outdoor grandstands. In addition, these tribunes can usually be moved easily. This takes account of the sports building’s foundation. A movable and tiltable stand ensures that stands can be moved and stored easily. Ideal for multifunctional areas.

  • Does W&H Sports also rent stands?

    W&H Sports does not rent stands. However, you can contact us for the sale of stands.

  • Does W&H Sports also sell demountable stands?

    Our offer consists of fully welded stands and demountable stands. This makes it possible to deliver our mobile telescopic grandstand in parts. Handy if the stand needs to be installed on a higher floor.

  • What should I pay attention to when purchasing a stand?

    There are a number of things to take into account when purchasing a stand. Of course, it is advisable to think carefully about the desired properties before purchasing. Would you like to use the stand indoors or outdoors? Are you looking for a permanent or demountable version. For how many people is the stand intended? Would you like to equip the grandstand with seats (stadium seating) or do you prefer wooden/plastic benches? Practical things to take into account are the surface and the purpose of the stand. For example, is the surface flat? If it is desirable to place a stand on a higher floor in an office building, it is advisable to take a good look at the accessibility of the destination. It could be possible that only a dismountable model is more suitable than a fully welded stand. Are there any special wishes? For example, do you want a coated version? Would you like to equip the stand with fences? Do you want transport wheels or are you looking for a tilting grandstand? Enough things to take a good look at before you proceed to purchase.   • Can I generate sponsor income from a stand?

    This is very well possible! We see more often that sports clubs, sports halls and universities take advantage of the commercial opportunities that a grandstand can bring along.Whereas a few decades ago, stands were caused (maintenance) costs, they are now increasingly being made interesting for sponsorship purposes.  For example, it is possible to provide stadium seats with sponsorship opportunities.   • What is the delivery time of a grandstand?

    This differs per supplier. At W&H Sports the delivery time of a grandstand is often between 4 to 6 weeks. If there is a chance that we can deliver faster, we will let you know!

Want to buy a mobile stand?

A mobile grandstand is ideally suited for sports buildings where flexible deployment is a requirement. Our mobile stands are easy to operate and move. Only two people are required to move these stands. In our range of mobile stands, we make a distinction between a telescopic and a regular (aluminium) version. Naturally, our grandstands can be fitted with all kinds of options, such as: (coloured) seats, transport wheels and canopy.
