National Sports Agreement

According to research, children’s motor skills have decreased significantly in recent years. The Dutch exercise less and less, the classic sports clubs are under pressure and almost half of all adults in the Netherlands are moderately or seriously overweight. The above points were the reason for the creation of the National Sports Agreement. That is why the Minister of Sports (Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport), the municipalities and the sports associations (NOC*NSF) have joined forces. Together with the provincial authorities, numerous social organizations and companies they have concluded a National Sports Agreement. The purpose of this agreement is to make sport future-proof. The Cabinet calls for attention to diversity in the structuring of sports federations, the development of individual clubs and free access to sport for children.

Outdoor fitness with online activation module

In cooperation with Train4Life we have developed an online activation module to motivate and properly use outdoor fitness locations. Our fitness equipment can be provided with a QR code. By scanning this QR code instruction videos can be viewed and as an extra option training programs for beginners, experienced and advanced can be used. SmartGoals

SmartGoals is an interactive training method that works with light signals. The lighted SmartGoals are the goal. If you run, dribble or shoot through a lighted SmartGoal, the light will jump to a new goal. By means of SmartGoals you train things like viewing behaviour, action speed, agility and oversight. This training method can be used for ball sports such as football and hockey, but can also have a function in athletics or in education. Fun and challenge are guaranteed when using SmartGoals.

GreenMatter

GreenMatter or in other words: green does matter! Artificial grass is often seen as waste, but we see it as a valuable raw material to process into sports related products with the aim to be 100% circular. The goal of GreenMatter is to tackle the waste mountain of artificial turf pitches by producing products from recycled artificial turf. With our transparent and above all practical vision we support municipalities in a circular approach. On 23 January, W&H Sports signed the partial agreement Circular Sports Environment with the initiative GreenMatter.

SPORTbox

The SPORTbox is a storage space, for fitness and training attributes, which can be placed in different places. Users of this box can register via an app and using the app & move concept, users can open the box, reserve training sessions or view exercises. The SPORTbox versions are equipped with various fitness and training materials and the content is secured with an intelligent camera system. The SPORTbox makes outdoor sports more accessible and accessible for many municipalities.
